2025 Retirement Plan Limits

Here's a summary of the 2025 retirement contribution limits announced by the IRS:
401(k), 403(b), and Governmental 457 Plan Limits
- Contribution Limit: Increased to $23,500 (up from $23,000 in 2024).
- Catch-Up Contributions for Age 50+: Remains at $7,500 for 2025.
- Special Catch-Up for Ages 60-63: New SECURE 2.0 limit of $11,250 for eligible participants aged 60, 61, 62 and 63.
SIMPLE IRA Limits
- Contribution Limit: Increased to $16,500 (up $16,000 in 2024).
- Catch-Up Contributions for Age 50+: Remains at $3,500 for 2025.
- Special Catch-Up for Ages 60-63: New SECURE 2.0 limit of $5,250 for eligible participants aged 60, 61, 62 and 63.
IRA & Roth Limits
- Annual Contribution Limit: Remains unchanged at $7,000.
