Spring Cleaning Your Finances: Update Your Schwab Account!

It’s that time of year again: Spring Cleaning! Has “review your Schwab account” ever been on your spring-cleaning list? If not, this might be the year to add it.
Unlocking the Benefits of Online Access
If you haven't yet signed up for Schwab online access, we highly recommend it. This allows you to quickly approve money transfers like wires and check requests and provides access to all your statements and tax documents – no more waiting for them to arrive in the mail! Sign up at https://client.schwab.com/Areas/Access/Login.
Updating Your Information Online
You can also update your personal information on Schwab.com. It’s good to review these details once a year. Do you have a new address? A new cell phone number or email address? What about beneficiaries? Maybe they need to be updated or maybe you don’t have any assigned to your account and would like to add them. How about the bank account linked to your account? Is it still valid or do you have a new bank account you want to add?
The easiest and fastest way to update your information is to log into your online account at www.schwab.com/client-home and click on PROFILE in the upper right-hand corner of the page.
Going Paperless for Convenience
Once you have logged into your Schwab account, you can also request to go paperless. If you opt for paperless delivery of monthly statements and tax documents, you will receive an email when they are ready to be viewed. Then you can download or print a copy for your records. We know some of you prefer to get paper documents in the mail but for those of you that don’t, getting signed up is a nice Spring Cleaning way to eliminate some paper clutter.
2023 IRA Contributions
Speaking of taxes and to-do lists, do you still need to contribute to your IRA for 2023? Time is running out, so please get those checks to us ASAP. Please make sure to note the contribution year on the check (2023 or 2024) and make it payable to: Charles Schwab FBO: [INSERT YOUR NAME]. Please make sure you allow enough mailing time so the check reaches our office by April 12th.
